Phalaenopsis – Orchid

Orchids are the most beautiful flower on earth. Orchid will thrive outdoor under a shade of tree if you live in hot climate, like Florida. Otherwise, if you live in colder climate, Orchid could survive indoor environment with daylight lighting and with minimum amount of sunlight.
Place orchids near or on the windowsill, where they will receive indirect sunlight. Water the plants once every 7 days. Orchids will bloom year after year.

Simple tips – depend on where you live:

1. Give direct sunlight only between 7 – 8:30 am

2. Watering is crucial, use spray bottle to water the young, use a tablespoon measure for the mature. Test the soil with a stick, if there is a trace of water, wait for another week to water. If necessary, just water the orchid a tablespoonful. It should have a good drainage on the bottom of the pot. Orchid hates soggy roots.
